We all know first impressions are important. However, do you know how to go about making a good first impression? Many times we think we do and then when it comes down to it we completely flake and do everything we should not. Don’t Talk Too Much
You may be a great person and you may have accomplished a lot in your life. However, you do not have to tell your life story in the first hour you meet someone. Throw in some juicy tidbits, but save some for later, too, so you will always have something new and exciting to talk about. In addition, when you are not going on and on about yourself you will have time to ask her questions about her life. Women really like men who take an interest and ask questions.
Ask Questions
Before you go on your date you may want to brainstorm some good fallback questions in case the conversation does not flow well. For example, you could be having a conversation and all of a sudden there is a silence. Instead of having to figure out something to say on the spot that could sound stupid or embarrassing you can just fall back on the questions you thought up. Ask her to tell you something about her education, where she would like to travel one day, where she sees herself in 10 years, and the like. Make it an open-ended question so she has to come up with an answer other than yes or no.
Listen
When she is talking, listen. You do not want to ask her the same question twice or not follow something she tells you simply because you are not listening. So, focus on what she is saying to see if she is interesting, intelligent, and the kind of woman you are looking for.
